BC LIONS ROAR FOR THE KIDS!

On Friday October 4, 2024, we were able to announce an exciting partnership between the BC Lions and the CKNW Kids’ Fund - The BC Lions Roar for the Kids’ Mobility Fund. This 3-year fund (totalling $225,000) will support some very special kids in the province with their mobility and transportation issues, including power and manual wheelchairs, stair lifts, adaptive tricycles, customized equipment, standing frames, home adaptions, and vehicle adaption

bc lions host 3rd annual family night for the cknw kids’ fund

On Friday, October 4, the BC Lions welcomed over 400 families to BC Place where they enjoyed a nail-biting game, with the BC Lions winning 32-15 over the Calgary Stampeders. This is the third year in a row that the BC Lions have generously hosted CKNW Kids’ Fund families from across the Lower Mainland.

In 2022, Amar Doman and the BC Lions hosted the first annual CKNW Kids' Fund Family Night which allowed families to attend a regular season game and dinner at no cost. This has quickly become an evening that families look forward to each year and we are so grateful to Amar and the BC Lions for their continued support.

Despite the rain, the 49th annual Picnic at Playland was a huge success! A big thank you to our presenting sponsor, Laurie Rix and the Rix Family Foundation, for making this day possible for 3,500 kids with complex needs each year!

Tickets for our 50/50 raffle with Backpack Buddies are now ON SALE!

With this unique raffle, the winner will take home 50% of the jackpot, while the other 50% will be split equally between the CKNW Kids’ Fund and Backpack Buddies.

Tickets are available online from Monday, April 1 to Thursday, May 9, with the winner being announced on Friday, May 10.
