The Burnaby Firefighters are hosting their 6th Annual Angel Christmas Breakfast and Toy Drive this Friday December 1st at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown from 6:00 am-10:00 am.
Last year, the event raised $10,000 in cash for the CKNW Orphans’ Fund and over $12,000 in toys for the Burnaby Community Services’ Christmas Bureau. “People can come and drop off an unwrapped toy or a cash donation and get a free breakfast cooked by the Hilton and the Burnaby Firefighters. If people can not stay for Breakfast, they can drop off their donation in front of the Hilton and receive a coffee and a muffin to go courtesy of McDonald’s.
Over 120 Burnaby Firefighters attend this event every year. It is a very special day when everyone in our community comes together to support families who are less fortunate. Enjoy amazing entertainment as well, with Juno Award Winner and Legendary Blues Singer Jim Byrnes attending for his 5th year, along with Canadian Recording Artist Stephen Scaccia, the Burnaby South High School Jazz Band, the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services Band and Santa and Mrs.Claus.
