We are counting down to one of our most anticipated events of the year: Picnic At Playland! This year, the fun-filled picnic will take place on May 28th, and we are working very hard to make sure it is the best one yet.
The picnic started in 1956, on Bowen Island, as a special day out for a small group of children. Since then, the CKNW Kids’ Fund has continued to support over 90,000 children with physical and mental challenges to enjoy a carefree day of fun, food, and freedom.
With the generous support of our sponsors and donors, we invite 3,500 children once a year to Playland for a day at the park reserved entirely just for them. We would love to especially recognize our prominent partners: Odlum Brown, CanWel Building Materials Ltd., Beedie, and Anthem Properties!
