The Connecting Kids' Fund

We are living in unprecedented times and social isolation has become a reality for us all. However, for many of the kids we serve, this isolation is what they experience each and every day. As we do our best to flatten the curve and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the CKNW Kids’ Fund has been working diligently to ensure we continue our support of vulnerable children in our province.

While we adapt to new ways of connecting remotely, many of our day-to-day activities are moving online: from meetings and classes to even appointments and playdates. For families who cannot afford the devices required to access these new ways of living, the forms of connection we currently rely on are simply not possible. With the closure of schools, these children will not have access to the assistive technology they need to continue their therapies and education. Without access to a laptop, iPad or specific apps, many will be left even more isolated.

With this in mind, we have created the Connecting Kids’ Fund to address the immediate needs facing some of BC’s most vulnerable kids. Funds raised for the Connecting Kids' Fund will go towards insuring children with special needs in our community have access to the assistive technology and devices they need to remain connected to their education, health and well-being. Help us help these kids stay connected.

We now need your help more than ever. As a valued member of our Kids’ Fund community, your support plays a profound role in ensuring we can assist those who need us most. Please donate to the CONNECTING KIDS’ FUND.
