The Walk for the Kids’ Fundraiser took place this past Saturday, August 29th, when 10th grader Jack Bouchard walked 75 kilometres in ONE DAY to raise funds for BC kids.

At 4:30 am on the 29th Jack set out on foot with three friends: Alex, Antoine and Yanick on bikes, to begin his journey through Vancouver and North Vancouver. He met up with several people along the way, including family and friends, Kids’ Fund grant recipient Jayden and his mother Anita, as well as Chris Gailus from Global BC who accompanied Jack for a small portion of the walk.

All in all, it took over 10,300 steps and 18 hours for Jack to complete the 75 kilometres ( persevering through some VERY large blisters), arriving at the Vancouver Art Gallery just after 10:30 pm. Not only that, but Jack surpassed his fundraising goal by over $1,000, raising $8,585 for the Kids’ Fund!

If you missed out on the walk on Saturday but still want to contribute, feel free to donate here.
