Jack Bouchard, a 9th-grader from East Vancouver and son of CKNW Kids’ Fund board member Jessica Bouchard, is taking on the momentous task of walking 75 kilometres to raise money for the CKNW Kids’ Fund. He and a few of his friends are going to walk 75 kilometres (in honour of the Kids’ Fund’s 75th Anniversary) on August 29th 2020, taking a route through Vancouver and North Vancouver. Jack plans on hitting important landmarks along the way and having guest walkers join him for portions of the walk, including families the Kids’ Fund has supported, Kids’ Fund board members and staff, as well donors.
His ambitious goal is to raise $10,000, and to date he has already raised $2,750. Jack and his friends are going to make a movie out of the adventure, which they hope will be completed in time for this year’s Pledge Day on December 1st.
