Reconnecting Kids' Fund

With warmer weather approaching and the eventual ease of Covid-19 restrictions, it is more important than ever that kids with mental, social and physical challenges have the resources and support they need to get back out into their communities and stay connected with their peers in a safe way.

Beginning in May, we will be raising funds for the Reconnecting Kids' Fund - a project focused on the long-term support of BC kids as they adjust to the eventual easing of Covid-19 restrictions. The Reconnecting Kids' Fund is meant to support special needs children and their families as they transition back to life outside their homes through accessibility, social development and connection.  The funds raised through this campaign will go towards grants for mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and ramps, assistive technology like iPads and the TouchApp as well as supportive therapies that enhance social development.

As part of Reconnecting Kids' Fund, we will be hosting an online auction from June 4th to the 11th and wanted you to be the first to know.

Items available for you to bid on in this online event include everything from summer excursions and adventures, to luxurious weekend getaways! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for all the updates and a comprehensive list of items and experiences that we’ll be sharing later this month!

This year, the funds raised from this online event will have twice the impact thanks to one of our incredible Diamond Sponsors, NorLand Limited. NorLand has generously offered to match up to $25,000 from money raised in the Reconnecting Kids' Fund auction. On behalf of CKNW Kids' Fund we are grateful to have the support of community oriented companies such as NorLand.
