We are overwhelmed by the sea of pink we witnessed online for Pink Shirt Day 2021! Your photos, kind messages and solidarity for this important cause are inspiring and something we hope to see carried forward for the remainder of the year.

This Pink Shirt Day, our goal was to spread awareness and create the opportunity for valuable conversations about the impacts of bullying behavior and the importance of “Lifting Each Other Up”. A message of hope, acceptance and empathy was at the forefront of this campaign and although we could not join in large social groups, we still found immense strength in working together to create a kinder and more inclusive future for all of us.

If you tuned in to 980 CKNW on February 24th, you would have listened to interviews with Pink Shirt Day partners and recipients featured throughout the day. These conversations touched on the importance of the campaign, the impact of the funds they have received, and how you can help spread awareness for our cause in your community. We also had the honor of hosting a series of interviews with some incredible advocates speaking to the importance of educating our youth, inclusivity, and supporting programs that promote healthy self-esteem, empathy, compassion and kindness. All three interviews can be found on our Facebook and Instagram @PinkShirtDay if you missed them in the week leading up to the campaign.

As Pink Shirt Day 2021 was entirely virtual, we had the opportunity to connect with supporters in new ways. We wanted to share with you some of our favorite posts from last Wednesday, February 24th and know you will love them as much as we do.
